These terms apply to your use of healthtrendwire.com, including its articles, newsletter and contact forms (together, the "site"). Health Trend Wire is an independent publication founded, owned and operated by Yash Malviya in Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Not medical advice

Health Trend Wire is journalism. Everything we publish is general information about health, wellness, research, products and the wellness industry. It is not medical, nutritional, psychological, financial or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.

  • Do not use anything on the site to diagnose or treat a health problem, or to start, stop or change any medicine, supplement, diet or exercise programme without talking to a qualified professional.
  • Never ignore professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read here.
  • Reporting on a study, product, treatment, clinic or trend is not an endorsement of it. Research findings are often early, limited or later revised, and we say so where we know it.
  • If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.

No doctor-patient or other professional relationship is created by reading the site, subscribing to the newsletter or contacting us.

2. Accuracy and corrections

We work hard to be accurate, cite our sources and label how each claim was checked, as set out in our Editorial standards. But health information changes quickly, and we cannot guarantee that every article is complete, current or free of errors at the moment you read it. When we find a substantive error, we correct it openly on the article. If you spot one, please tell us through the contact page.

3. Sponsored content and links

Any paid content is clearly labelled "Sponsored" and any affiliate links are disclosed, as described in our Sponsorship and affiliate disclosure. The site links to studies, companies and other websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, products, availability or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Any purchase you make from a third party is between you and that party.

4. Our content and how you may use it

The articles, headlines, text, graphics, site design and the Health Trend Wire name and logo are owned by us or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws. Photographs are licensed from their creators and credited where they appear; those credits and licences stay with the photographers.

You may:

  • read, print and save articles for your own personal, non-commercial use;
  • share links to our articles, including on social media;
  • quote short extracts for commentary, criticism, news reporting or research, with a clear credit to Health Trend Wire and a link to the original article.

Without our written permission, you may not:

  • republish, sell, license or distribute our articles or photographs in full or in substantial part, including by framing them within another site;
  • remove or alter copyright notices, bylines, photo credits or disclosure labels;
  • use automated tools to copy, scrape or bulk-download the site, beyond what ordinary search engine indexing requires;
  • use our content to train, fine-tune or build datasets for artificial intelligence or machine learning systems;
  • use the Health Trend Wire name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse or are connected with you, your product or your service.

5. Acceptable use

When using the site, you agree not to:

  • break any law, or help anyone else do so;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the site, its admin area, servers or databases, or test, probe or disrupt their security;
  • overload the site, introduce malware, or interfere with other readers’ use of it;
  • send spam, automated or bulk submissions through our forms or newsletter sign-up, or sign up anyone else without their permission;
  • impersonate anyone, or submit anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing or that infringes someone else’s rights.

If you find a security vulnerability, please report it privately to us rather than exploiting or publicising it.

6. What you send us

When you send us a message, story tip, correction request or advertising enquiry, you confirm that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share it. We may use it to reply to you, to investigate and report stories, and to correct our articles. We will not publish your name or identify you as a source without your permission. Please do not send confidential business information or personal health information; we cannot guarantee that unsolicited material will be kept confidential, and we are not obliged to act on it. 7. Newsletter

If you subscribe to the Health Trend Wire briefing, we will email you occasional digests of our reporting. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in every email or by emailing us. We may change how often we send it, or stop it, at any time.

8. Age

The site is written for adults. If you are under 18, please use it only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, and do not send us personal data without their consent.

9. The site is provided "as is"

We provide the site free of charge, "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties, express or implied, that the site or its content will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, secure or free of errors or viruses, or that it will meet your needs. We may change, suspend or remove any part of the site, including articles, at any time.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content, including any decision you make about your health, diet, fitness, finances or purchases, or any indirect or consequential loss, or loss of data, profit or opportunity. Where we are found liable despite this, our total liability to you for all claims relating to the site is limited to 100 US dollars (or the equivalent in your local currency), since the site is free to use.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited or excluded. If you are a consumer, you keep all the rights that consumer protection law in your country gives you and that cannot be waived by agreement.

11. Your responsibility for misuse

If you breach these terms, for example by republishing our content without permission or attacking the site, and that causes us loss or leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs that result, to the extent the law allows.

12. Suspending access

We may block or restrict access to the site, the forms or the newsletter for anyone who breaches these terms or misuses the site, without notice where necessary to protect the site or other readers.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site grows, for example if we introduce new features. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date. Changes apply from that date and do not apply to anything that happened before it. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. If you have a complaint, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally; most issues can be settled this way. If a dispute cannot be resolved, the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates will have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in another country, you may also rely on the mandatory laws of your country of residence and bring proceedings in its courts, where that law gives you the right to do so.

15. General

  • If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
  • These terms, together with our Privacy policy, Editorial standards and Sponsorship and affiliate disclosure, are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours if the publication is sold or restructured, provided your rights are not reduced.
